Marketing Assistant
Position Overview
UTC Overseas is a well-established logistics provider offering ocean, air, inland, and customs/compliance services. Headquartered in Houston with over 38 offices worldwide, the Marketing Assistant will be located in Rochelle Park, New Jersey, reporting to the Global Marketing Manager. This position supports sales and marketing colleagues worldwide, working on day-to-day activities and special projects for a variety of tasks that drive growth and revenue.
Primary Responsibilities
- Update and customize presentations and key marketing materials.
- Develop content for social media and upload posts to LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook sites.
- Monitor social media analytics.
- Format and distribute monthly internal and external newsletters.
- Contribute story ideas and write articles for company newsletters.
- Track and maintain inventory for promotional items and place reorders.
- Research market opportunities, customer intelligence, and leads using subscription-based data mining services.
- Maintain SharePoint content and photo library.
- Assist with planning and executing trade shows, including registering attendees, and preparing materials to be sent.
- Order office supplies and maintain inventory levels.
- Miscellaneous – perform other duties as needed.
Requirements
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented
- As or BS in business, marketing, or equivalent
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience developing social media content
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- WordPress, Constant Contact, and basic video editing skills a plus
